Location: Tuolumne County, near Strawberry, California

How many witnesses were there (including yourself)? I was alone

Please give as full a description of the sighting: I remember it was a Friday night sometime between 9 & 9:30 pm in July of 2012. The exact date I can't say for sure, but I believe it was in the first week of July. It was during the full moon. I was on my way to Reno, by way of heading over Sonora Pass. Just above Strawberry, I pulled over to dig out my iphone so I could plug it in and listen to a podcast over the radio when off to the right & up on this short embankment that was right there where I pulled over I noticed a great big pair of red eyes pretty far up in this tree. They were so far up off the ground I just naturally assumed it was an owl. This tree was I'd say not more that 15 to 20 feet from where I sat in the drivers seat of my car.

This coming week is filled with some exciting opportunities to learn more about bigfoot!

First event - Cliff Barackman will be doing two separate presentations this week on February 12th and February 14th at the monthly gathering entitled "Volcano Views and Brews." Both are open to the public, and totally free! It will be a small, intimate gathering of bigfooters and laymen. Bigfoot talk will be plentiful, and so will the good beers. Second event - Beginning at 6pm on Friday 2/15, Cabela's Outdoor Outfitters presents their annual "Strange, Rare, and Unusual Creature Sightings Weekend" at their Wheeling, West Virginia location.

The most famous primatologist in the world is ape about Bigfoot.

Jane Goodall made her name studying chimpanzees in Africa and by discovering that they, like humans, use tools.

Since then, she has been working to preserve their decreasing numbers via the Jane Goodall Insititute. She also admitted to an interest in the mysterious creature known as Bigfoot, Sasquatch or the Yeti.

"I'm not going to flat-out deny its existence," Goodall said during an exclusive interview with The Huffington Post before a benefit dinner in La Jolla, Calif. "I'm fascinated and would actually love them to exist.

"Of course, it's strange that there has never been a single authentic hide or hair of the Bigfoot, but I've read all the accounts."

ATLANTIC CITY, WYO.— In 1972, while camping alone in the Wind River Mountains, the young naturalist John Mionczynski, is convinced that he encountered the creature known as Sasquatch, or “Bigfoot.” Over the decades since, he’s searched for further evidence of a large primate inhabiting the forests of western North America.

In the minds of many, this placed him in that scientific netherworld populated by believers in crop circles, alien invaders and Bermuda triangles. But to cast him off as a paranormal nut would be unfair to one of Wyoming’s most interesting characters who in other spheres has made significant contributions to contemporary understanding of the Wyoming wilderness.
