The Board of Advisors for the Alliance of Independent Bigfoot Researchers is made up of a representative sample of the best the field has to offer. The Board is meant to send a clear signal to all concerned that the AIBR is interested in pursuing its mission statement in as professional and ethical way as possible.

The Board of Advisors is first and foremost a system of peer review. Their purpose is to consider and provide feedback on any questions, concerns, policies, goals, guidelines, objectives, protocols, articles, and/or papers that are part of the AIBR. This guarantees to the public, other similar organizations, and members that the policies and procedures of the organization are the best that can be offered at the present time, and that those policies and procedures are always under review and subject to on-going modification when necessary.

The Board of Directors seeks input from the Board of Advisors in various ways. From presenting specific issues for a final review prior to a vote for adoption, to soliciting general 'brainstorming' ideas for problems/solutions and procedures being considered, and everything in between. Input from the Advisors will constantly be sought so that the AIBR is always accountable to our members, other researchers, and the public.

Current Board of Advisor members are Dr. Jeff Meldrum, John Green, Jimmy Chilcutt, Rick Noll, Owen Caddy and John Mionczynski.
